User-Specific Email and Newsletter Templates

Email communication and newsletters need to be unique in order to be most effective, and offices with several staff members must have the ability to customize these for each person. In the BNTouch CRM, you can set individual email templates and customize newsletter settings for each user in your account, allowing you to make your communication personalized and unique. In the User Menu in the upper-right corner of the screen, click “Administration,” then open the “Templates & NL” tab. Only administrative users can access this area of the CRM; please contact your administrator if you need help and do not have access.

User Template Option List

Here, you’ll see a list of all users for your BNTouch account sorted by name. For each user, default options for email and newsletter template settings will appear in rows to the right.

The “Default Template” column can be used to select an email template to be used for each user. You can choose a template from the drop-down menu in this column. All templates marked as “Public” with the “Design” type will appear in this list. If the user has customized an email template on their own, a note will appear for that user. If you want to override their template, click the “Reset” link here and choose a new template.

A default template and URL extension for each user’s newsletter can be entered next. Newsletter templates can be selected from the drop-down menu; again, all templates marked as “Public” with the “Design” type will appear in this list. An extension to the newsletter URL specific to that user can be entered in the “Newsletter URL” field. This will make a unique, permanent URL for that user’s newsletter. To see what this template looks like and the final URL, click the “Preview” link.

Lastly, you can choose whether or not each user’s newsletter is active and what topical sections will appear in that user’s newsletter using the drop-down menus to the right. Any options set to “Yes” will be included in newsletters sent by the user.

If you make any changes to fields on this list, they will only be saved if you click the “Update Information” button below. If you cannot see all of the fields in this list, you can use the scroll bars to change which fields display; the username and account type will still be visible when you do so.
