Administration – Loan Portal Tab
Loan Portal
Customization
Loan Portals are customizable,
client-specific websites that your borrowers can use to stay involved in the
mortgage process. You can configure the tools and options available in these portal
sites uniquely for each user in your BNTouch CRM. In the User Menu in the
upper-right corner of the screen, click “Administration,” then open the “Loan
Portals” tab. Only administrative users can access this area of the CRM; please
contact your administrator if you need help and do not have access.

Loan Portal User
Settings List
Here, you’ll see a list of all users for
your BNTouch account sorted by name. For each user, a series of menus and
fields will appear in a row to the right. These options will allow you to
configure the default settings for each user’s portal sites created for their
borrowers.

First, the “Email Notifications” menu
allows you to choose whether the user will receive an email whenever a client
submits feedback to them via their portal site.
Borrowers will need to follow a secure
link to access their Loan Portal; if you want a user’s portal sites to also
require a password to access, choose “Yes” in the “Password” drop-down menu.
Borrowers can then use either an individual password sent to them by the user
or the last four digits of their Social Security Number to log into the portal.
If you want the user to have a default password their borrowers can use to log
in, you can enter one here. Borrowers can then use either their individual
password, the default one, or their four-digit number to access their portal.
The next set of menus can be used to
determine what sections of the Loan Portal will be available for that user’s
clients.
“My Status” will allow borrowers to see
what step of the loan process they are at in your CRM. If you want only
specific loan stages to be visible to the client, you can select them using the
checkboxes in the “Stage” drop-down menu.
“My Property” will allow borrowers to
access market analysis information about their mortgage property, and “My
Documents” will let them see documents you’ve requested of them and upload
documents to submit. If E-signing is enabled for your account, the client will
be able to see the status of their electronic signature. “Refer a Friend” will
enable borrowers to refer their friends as new leads directly from their Loan
Portal.

The “Loan App” menu will give clients
access to an online 1003 Loan Application that they can start, save progress as
they complete the form, and submit to your CRM when finished. If enabled for
the account, the borrower can also chat with you while completing the loan
application.
The “Custom News” and “Custom Welcome”
options apply only to legacy users of our previous portal sites. These settings
allow you to set default messages for when borrowers access their portal sites
or check for mortgage news. If enabled, you can enter the text the clients will
see into the “News Text” and “Welcome Text” fields to the right.
If you make any changes to fields on this
list, they will only be saved if you click the “Update Information” button
below. If you cannot see all of the fields in this list, you can use the scroll
bars to change which fields display; the username and account type will still
be visible when you do so.
