Options – Loan and Partner Portals
Configuring
Portal Settings in BNTouch
Your BNTouch CRM helps you with your
mortgage business online through your internet browser. This isn’t limited to
just you, however. You can give your mortgage partners each a unique website to
manage properties and collect leads, and even your borrowers can use Loan
Portals to communicate with you and complete their loan application. These portals
have plenty of features and tools to make the mortgage process easier for
everyone involved, and you have the ability to
configure what options each client or partner has available in their portal
site.
This article focuses specifically on the
preferences and settings available for Portals in the Options Tab of your CRM.
To learn more about each type of portal and how to use them, please watch our “Loan
Portals” and “Partner
Portals” training videos.

Client Loan
Portal Settings
You can customize what you and your
clients can see in the Borrower Portal and set up notifications for this
feature in the Options tab of your CRM. Look for the section titled “Borrower
& Partner Portals”, then click the “Client Loan Portal” sub-tab.

First, you’ll see options to receive a
notification when someone sends feedback through one of your borrower portals
and the ability to include portal login buttons on your forms and video pages.
You can also choose to disable a client’s access to their Borrower Portal site
after their mortgage loan is funded. This action will be taken when you update
a client’s record with a “Funded Date” in the Mortgages tab.
If you want to send partner portal
invites via email or campaigns in BNTouch, you can use the metatag displayed
here. You can also set a default password protection for borrowers that open
your portal invite links. By default, your borrowers will be able to log in
with the last four digits of their social security number. You can choose to
set a default password for all of your clients here,
and you can always add an individualized password for a client in their record.
Borrowers can then log in using any of these three options.
Below, you can choose which of the available
sections will appear in your client’s portals. For each page in the portal, you
can configure details like the Loan Status indicators to show, which
participating partners to list, and what page to open by default. Lastly, you
can choose to hide your cell phone contact information from the “Contact”
button in the portal if you would prefer to only receive messages in your CRM.
When you are finished editing any of
these options, be sure to click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.

Partner Portal
Settings
As with Borrower Portals, you can
customize Partner Portals in the “Loan and Partner Portals” section of the
Options Tab. In this case, just click the “Partner Portal” sub-tab.
First, you’ll see options for weekly
reports that can be sent to you or your partners. You can select days from the
drop-down menus to the right, and you can even select what groups of partners
you’d like the reports sent to. You can also choose to receive a notification
when someone sends feedback through one of your partner’s portals and the
option to include portal login buttons on your forms and video pages.
If you want to send partner portal
invites via email or campaigns in BNTouch, you can use the metatag displayed
here. You can also set a default password protection for partners that open
your portal invite links.

Below, you can choose which of the menu
sections will appear in your partners’ portals. You can also set customized
text for the welcome message and news sidebar in these portals. Lastly, you can
choose to hide your cell phone contact information from the “Contact” button in
the portal if you would prefer to only receive messages in your CRM and whether
notes from the Tracker can be shared with Borrowers and Partners.
When you are finished editing any of
these options, be sure to click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.
